'Hounds hold off Trinity Prep

Behind a strong pitching performance by senior Matt Allen, the Lyman varsity baseball team defeated Trinity Prep on Wednesday night by a score of 4-3. Fellow senior, Shawnee Drury, picked up the save for the Greyhounds by pitching a scoreless 7th inning. Offensively, Lyman was lead once again by Santiago Espinal. Santi had 2 hits and added 2 more stolen bases to increase his season total to 18. Dalton Ratcliff, Joe Perrone, and Chris Allen also drove in runs for the Greyhounds. Come support Lyman as they travel toLake Mary on Thursday night. First pitch is slated for 7pm.

Greyhounds down the SIlver Hawks

Thanks in large part to a solid pitching performance by Brandon Bowes, the Lyman Varsity baseball team defeated the Lake Howell Silver Hawks 7-6 on Monday night. Offensively, the Greyhounds were led by Santiago Espinal, Matt Allen, and Jay Hayes. Brian Strevens and Sanitago stole a combined 6 bases.

Come out and support the baseball team as they take on District foe Spruce Creek. First pitch for the Varsity game is at 7pm. See ya there!

Lyman wins at Seminole HS!!!

Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team for their 9 to 1 victory over Seminole High School last night. The 'Hounds were led by Will Kimball who pitched a stellar 6 innings and had 5 strikeouts. Lyman capitalized on 12 walks by the Seminoles. Sanitago Espinal went 2 for 3 with 3 stolen bases. Dalotn Ratcliff added two hits, including a double, and 2 RBI's.

The JV squad turned in a solid performance with a 1-0 loss. Sophomore Alex Escobar threw strikes and worked quickly to help end the game in an hour and 15 mins.... solid job by the JV team.

Come out and support the boys as they take on Oviedo High School on Thursday at Bob McCollough field. First pitches are set for 4pm and 7pm. See ya there!!!!
